About Our Congregation

UUUCSC building

Like most Unitarian Universalist congregations, Tapestry is a spiritually diverse community. Our members identify themselves as Jewish, humanist, Taoist, Christian, pagan, atheist, monotheist, and "none of the above." In general, though, we believe that there is no single religious truth and that life is a spiritual journey best experienced with others. We also strive to be ethnically and religiously diverse, and we welcome those of any ethnicity or religious orientation. We encourage spiritual growth through free religious thought, foster an atmosphere of acceptance, love and respect, and support commitment to service in the wider world.

About Our Worship Services

When and Where: Our worship services are held each Sunday at 9:30 & 11:00 a.m. in the congregation's meeting house in Mission Viejo. Our door is open and visitors are most welcome to attend our Sunday services and our group activities. During the service childcare for infants and toddlers is available. Religious exploration classes (Sunday School) for all ages—preschoolers through high school—are offered every Sunday. Children of all ages are also welcome to remain in the service. Refreshments and fellowship time follow the service. We'd like to meet you, and hope that you'll drop by for a visit! We are a friendly group, but we are not "pushy."

See the Worship Services page for details on times, topics and speakers. If you have questions about Unitarianism or our congregation, please email Rev. John Millspaugh at or call the church office (see phone number below).

Other Activities: In addition to our worship services, there are regular meetings of our women's and men's groups, book discussion group, and adult religious education classes, as well as social activities and committee meetings. See the Group Activities page for details.
